Charles I (1625-1649), Tower Mint under the King (1625 - 42) Group D, Crown,  fourth crowned, draped and cuirassed bust left, falling lace collar, value behind, rev. Crowned oval garnished shield, dividing crowned C-R, beaded inner circles both sides,  m.m. Triangle (1639 - 40) (S.2715; N.2185; Brooker 214-215; Schneider II, 252) Weight 2.25 grams

Superbly toned, formerly slabbed by NGC as 'Horace Hird' holder, graded AU58 however removed by its previous owner. (Cert. #6135299-024).
