A very rare example which is struck from Silver Gilt Plate. This example the same dies as hird 257. Furthermore is we not the similar markings on the reverse as to another example historically sold by DNW. Whether these are original markings and scratches from the gilt plate this shilling was made from or anti royalist graffiti marks open to to interpretation.
